Dr. Rinky Tanna grew up in Mumbai, India, where volunteering at community health centers first sparked her interest in healthcare. Her path to dentistry became clear after accompanying a family member through treatment for a jaw cyst and seeing firsthand how dentistry brought together medicine, science, and art. She completed her pediatric and preventive dentistry training in Mumbai before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.

In the office
Dr. Rinky’s interest in airway dentistry began during her pediatric dentistry residency in 2014, where she studied the connections between facial growth, jaw position, breathing, sleep, and overall health. Her training expanded into early orthodontics and myofunctional therapy, eventually leading her to pursue advanced airway education internationally.
Her curiosity has also shaped her work beyond the operatory. She helped develop APP 4 CARIES, a caries risk assessment tool for children, and has contributed to pediatric dental research, clinical education, and community health initiatives. Today, she brings that same evidence-minded, root-cause approach to both children and adults, with a strong focus on early recognition and helping patients feel heard and understood.
Outside the office
Outside the office, Dr. Rinky enjoys Pilates, yoga, painting, traveling, and learning new styles of dance. An internationally trained dancer and lifelong learner, she has traveled around the world both for fun and to study with mentors in dentistry. She’s also a devoted dog lover and loves making memories with friends and family.
