Drawn to a profession that combines science, precision, and personal connection, she pursued dentistry as a way to help patients become the healthiest versions of themselves. She earned her BSA in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston (UTHealth).

Dr. Katie is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine with advanced training in sleep apnea oral appliances and airway orthodontics. She also provides comprehensive general and restorative care and has a special interest in treating kids. Her path into airway dentistry began in dental school, where an elective course opened her eyes to how closely oral health is tied to sleep and breathing. She quickly began spotting signs of sleep-disordered breathing in patients and even treated her first sleep apnea case before graduating. That early experience shaped her passion for helping patients improve their overall health—not just their teeth—through calm, attentive, root-cause–focused care.
Outside the office
Dr. Katie loves being back in her hometown of Austin, spending time outdoors with her husband Ethan and their goldendoodle, Willie. She enjoys hiking the Greenbelt, cooking, traveling, discovering new restaurants, and getting lost in a good book. A former competitive swimmer, dancer, and equestrian rider, she still channels that same dedication and discipline into her work—helping patients sleep, breathe, and live better every day.
