Family Dentistry Through a Whole Health Lens

Treatment Options

  • White Fillings

Cavities are repaired with tooth-colored fillings using biocompatible, BPA-free resin composite, applied in the areas where decay destroyed the tooth. White fillings are mercury-free and designed to match your natural tooth color, making them virtually invisible. They can also be used to repair chips on the front teeth in a safe, minimally invasive procedure called dental bonding.

  • BPA-Free Clear Aligners

Invisalign® is the benchmark for quality in clear aligner orthodontics, and our providers have reached the highest level of Invisalign provider status—Diamond Plus. We treat patients of all ages. Invisalign® aligners are made with biocompatible thermoplastic resin called SmartTrack, designed to move teeth by applying forces and stimulating bone regeneration. SmartTrack is free of latex, parabens, phthalates, glutaraldehyde, PFAS, epoxy, and BPA. We can treat mild, moderate, and advanced orthodontic cases with this revolutionary, removable, nearly invisible technology. Our approach is both cosmetic and functional, ensuring a healthy bite for life.

  • Low and No-Radiation Digital Imaging

Modern digital imaging allows us to see problems clearly. Our goal is to take the minimum amount of x-rays necessary to catch problems while they’re small. We take intraoral and extraoral scans with zero radiation to provide a 3D image of your smile. When x-rays are required for a complete diagnosis, our advanced 3D CBCT radiography allows for the minimum exposure (less radiation than taking a cross country flight) to keep you and our team safe.

  • Fluoride-Free Sealants

Recent studies have shown the harmful effects of overexposure to fluoride. This is why we offer a number of fluoride alternatives for preventing cavities including dental sealants. Sealants are a thin coating of biocompatible BPA-free resin painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth to prevent bacteria and food particles from getting stuck inside the tooth. Molar and premolar teeth have deep grooves on top, making them difficult to keep clean. By placing sealants on these grooves, we create a smooth surface that’s easy to clean and less likely to result in a cavity.

  • Adult and Pediatric Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a type of sleep-disordered breathing where breathing is interrupted while you’re asleep. When breathing stops, the drop in oxygen causes serious health problems, and increases the risk of heart attack and stroke for adults. We treat sleep apnea for children and adults from a functional dentistry approach—by creating more space in your mouth, we can prevent your tongue from blocking your airway during sleep. When nasal breathing is improved, and the tongue stays in the right position, these breathing disturbances decrease and often disappear completely, leading to a healthier, happier patient at every age.

  • Biomimetic Crowns

When teeth are cracked, broken, or fragile, a dental crown is an effective way to restore strength and function. Our crowns are made of biocompatible porcelain without any metal liners, and mimic the appearance and function of your natural teeth. These materials are long-lasting and stain resistant, so you can speak, eat, and smile with confidence. Crowns are made in two visits: the first, with a digital impression—no goopy impression materials. We take a 3D scan of your smile, and use AI-assisted technology to design the perfect fit. You’ll leave with a temporary crown and return in two weeks for the final porcelain insert.

What to Expect

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Your First Visit

We begin with a health and sleep screening, and take a 3D digital scan of your mouth. Your hygienist will clean your teeth gently and effectively, and take a series of low and no-radiation images. We may need to gather additional data from your physician, or with an at-home sleep study. These comprehensive diagnostics will reveal a path forward to optimal health, in alignment with your goals.

Your Child’s First Visit

Healthy habits begin at home, and are ingrained at an early age. That’s why engaging education is fundamental to our oral hygiene program—so that parents and children can work together to prevent cavities and expand their possibilities. The first visit includes a health and sleep screening, a 3D digital scan of their mouth, and a preventive teeth cleaning. If there are any active cavities, we’ll address those.

Questions About General Dentistry

Ask the Experts

We treat children for general and sleep dentistry as well as orthodontics. Beyond traditional dentistry, we focus on function, habits, speech, sleep, and emotional well-being, and we’ll put together a plan for guided jaw and facial development with orthodontics, expanders, myofunctional therapy, or nighttime appliances. When your child’s nasal breathing improves, you’ll also see improvements in their cognitive function like enhanced memory, concentration, speech, and growth. You’ll be surprised how much better he or she thinks and feels once after constantly getting a good night’s sleep.

A sleep or orthodontics consultation to evaluate your individual situation and need is $50. In the event a sleep test is prescribed, we charge an additional $150 for an easy and comfortable take home sleep study. Book your consultation at Friendswood or Sugar Land
