The Professional Side
Dr. Amanda was born and raised in Portland, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with an emphasis on Early Childhood from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Amanda was an educator for 3 years prior to attending dental school, helping kids feel empowered through learning. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, and is passionate about educating patients on their oral and overall health needs. She was selected to serve on Texas Dental Association’s Council on Professions and Trends and is SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) and Invisalign certified. Dr. Amanda is most passionate about recognizing signs of poor sleep in children and teens. She hopes to educate all patients and parents on the healthy growth of the jaw and airway with the goal to prevent the long-term systemic health consequences of underdeveloped jaws and poor sleep.
