Fast, compassionate care when you need it
Dental emergencies don’t stick to a schedule. We offer priority scheduling to get you out of pain and back to your life.
Scheduling
If you are in pain, contact our office. During business hours, we will do our best to get you seen as quickly as possible.
Exam and Imaging
We evaluate the area and, when needed, take a digital X-ray to understand what is happening below the surface.
Clear Next Steps
Before treatment begins, we explain what we found, what needs immediate attention, and what your options are moving forward.
WHAT COUNTS AS AN EMERGENCY?
If you are hurting, it is an emergency to us. Call us immediately if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Severe Toothache: Constant, throbbing pain that doesn’t go away.
- Knocked-Out Tooth: Time is critical (see instructions below).
- Broken Tooth: Especially if it is sharp or sensitive to air.
- Swelling: This could be an abscess that needs immediate attention.
Not sure? Contact us anyway. We can triage your symptoms over the phone and tell you if you need to come in right away.
What to Do If a Permanent Tooth Is Knocked Out
If a permanent tooth is knocked out, act immediately. Time is the most important factor in saving the tooth, so handle it carefully and get to our office as fast as you can.
Step-by-step in this order:
- Handle the tooth by the crown (top), not the root.
- Rinse it gently with water if dirty, but do not scrub.
- Try to reinsert it into the socket if possible.
- If you can’t reinsert it, place it in a cup of milk or your own saliva.
- Get to our office immediately.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Helpful Care When it Counts
A dental emergency needs quick attention, but it still deserves thoughtful care. We focus on the urgent problem first, then help you understand what needs to happen next.
- Relieve pain: We identify the source of pain or swelling and talk through the safest next step.
- Protect the tooth: When possible, we aim to preserve healthy tooth structure and avoid unnecessary treatment.
- Plan beyond today: Once the immediate issue is stable, we explain whether you need follow-up care, restoration, or a longer-term plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take walk-ins?
To ensure we can see you quickly and have a room prepared, please call us before coming in. We offer priority scheduling for emergencies and will likely be able to fit you in, but calling ahead prevents you from waiting in the lobby.
What if I call after hours?
If our office is closed, please listen to our voicemail for instructions. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency (such as severe swelling affecting your breathing or severe trauma), please go to the nearest Emergency Room immediately.
Will you pull the tooth?
Our goal is always to save your natural tooth whenever possible using conservative treatments. However, if the tooth is damaged beyond repair, we can perform an extraction to relieve your pain and discuss replacement options later.
